hand rubbing horse legs

hello. can i hand rub my horse's lower legs to improve blood circulation? do tell me whether to rub gently or harder?

Answer
Rubbing any extremity can help improve circulation, but with a horse you do have to be careful that you don't rub too hard, as the legs can be very delicate and injured by harsh rubbing.  Simply grooming with a semi-soft brush should be enough to help stimulate circulation - with a healthy horse there shouldn't be a need for any extra help with that.
