I need help!

We went to petsmart to find information about red eared slider turtles. As soon as we got back from shopping and stuff we looked for the turtles and they were no where to be seen. Is there any possible way that they could have ran away. Also this took place in my backyard.

Turtles are surprisingly good escape artists so might have escaped. They are also easily carried away by a variety of predators, from dogs and cats to birds.

They will head for the smell of water or a good hiding spot. If the yard is well-fenced, check along the fence- shady areas along the fence, a wall, or the foundation.
