why do the turtles water tank keep getting cloudy everytime I change it within two days it is cloudy.
-----Answer-----
Do you have a power filter with a biological filtration section, like a sponge? If you change the biological filtration media, you get a 'bloom' while the new biological stuff grows.

Otherwise, I need to know more about the situation. You can also try the forum at http://www.turtleforum.com

no I do not have a filter

What kind of turtles, how many, and how large?

How big is the tank? How is it set up? (Really, no filter? it saves you a LOT of work!)

How much water are you changing at a time and how often?

I suspect that there are probably several variables working here. If you have pond turtles, like Red-ear sliders or Painted turtles, and the tank is small, then the cloudiness could be bacterias and microscopic plants feeding on the wastes and possibly old food in the water.

It is not always easy to take care of water turtles. They have specific needs that must be met to keep them happy and healthy, such as:
- big tank, aim for 10 gallons per inch of turtle length
- warm water, 75-80F
- clean water, well filtered (use 2-3 times more filtration than a fish tank would have) AND weekly water changes
- good basking sites, lit by UVB-emitting bulbs and heated to about 90F
- a good diet, depending on the species and size of the turtles

Answer
The tank is pretty small for 2 turtles. Is your light a UVB lamp? If the bulb does not brag about having UVB, it does not offer that feature.

You really need to review the basic cares and make some adjustments. A bigger tank, a good filter, etc. will make taking care of them easier.

As for the bloom, it is probably due to the turtle wastes and left over food in the water. It does not take long for the micro-life to grow in soiled water. Get yourself a good filter (check http://www.austinsturtlepage.com for ideas) and it will help a lot. Otherwise, plan on changing about 1/4th of the water every day or two.
