lizard question

We have a a green anole lizard, and recently he  developed white spots and white shavings, is he shedding his skin, or molting, should he see a vet?

Answer
 Sounds like a shed starting, the spots look white because the old skin is lifting away from the body. Give him a shallow pan of tepid water and a rough stone in his habitat. This way he can soak the shed soft and rub off the shed himself.  Replace the water as often as he dirties it.
