HI, We have purchased a rabbit this afternoon and have notived tonight she has a few spots on her back and and side which are scaly and raised.  IS this cause for concern and should we take her back to the place we bought her from.  Also a tiny patch of fur came out as we were looking at the spots cheers Nicole

Dear Nicole,

No, this isn't a major cause for concern.  Please don't take her back, since she might end up as snake food if you do.  Most pet store bunnies do NOT end up in a nice place.  :(

The flaky patches are most likely due to mites, which are very easily and safely treated with Revolution (selamectin) from your rabbit vet.  You can find a good rabbit vet here:
