-----Question-----
Hi,
My next door neighbors has about twelve rabbits that they let run wild through the neighborhood. My kids have caught all of them but we gave them back. They caught one again and it is big and fat. She looks pregnant and she has nipples. How can I tell if she already had them or if she still has them inside. I read there was a test that you are able to feel them inside but can you please explain how to do it. She is acting very scared and crouching down. She hasn't ate anything all day and is digging at the shavings. My boy rabbit is humping her and she is letting him what does that mean.

Hello.
here is a website that explains the pregancny test you described very well. http://www.islandgems.net/palpating.html
She may be very full from running around town eating grass and stuff. If she is allowing your male to mount her then likely she is not pregnant. Better separate them, or likely  you will have babies withing about 30 days.
I use the whole island gems website as a reference. You may find it very helpful too. www.islandgems.net

Answer
A male bunny at the age of 3 1/2 months can become fertile and able to produce babies. It is depending on his breed and age how early he can produce. He may still be able to impregnate her, because he is able to withdraw his testicles into his body until he is older. I say if older than 3 months to make sure he is separated just to be safe.
