Wild Baby Bunny: What to Do?

22 11:17:08

Question
I just found a wild bunny as i was cutting the grass. The mother was no where in sight so we took it into our care. We put it in a box and layed newspaper down and put grass in it we also put some water in there. But we dont know what we should do with it. It keeps shaking and we wuld like to help nurse it back to care. It can't walk yet. It is still a baby. What should we do?

Answer
Dear Debbie,

The best option would be to return it to the nest.  Wild rabbits do not stay near the nest, to avoid attracting predators.  And it is *very* difficult to successfully raise a wild cottontail.  Please see this for complete information:

I hope it helps.
