QuestionI am wondering from the following article if I should give the corn husk and cob to my rabbits after I've ate the corn off the cob. What's left is low in protein and high in fiber.

Sweet corn husk and cob (SC) which is a residue of sweet corn cannery contained 19.75% dry matter (DM). The nutrient composition on DM basis was 6.86% crude protein (CP), 3.21% ether extract (EE), 3.97% ash, 70.89% neutral detergent fibre (NDF), 35.61% acid detergent fibre (ADF) and 15.07% NFC.
AnswerYes, corn husks are a great source of fiber for rabbits - they love it ! They will nibble at the cob also - do not give them the corn kernels as they have to much carbs in a high dose. I keep my pregnant does in a large pen - so they can exercise and occasionally will give them the whole plant - kernels, cob, husks, and stalk as a treat.
Banana leaves and peel are also a great rabbit food !
