Question
I got results from the fecal sample and it came out fine. She has not had diarrhea for a few days, and my mother thinks it might have been from the antibiotics when she did...She gets plenty of hay, and veggies, but she is still not eating as much and not drinking. I am sort of afraid to cut her veggies because that is the only hydration she seems to eat. I was recommended to use Gatorade and see if she would drink it, but it just spilled in her cage. I will try oats. I cannot tell if she's better or the same? what do you recommend? Thank you for your help.

Answer
Gatorade actually has way too much sugar. Try Pedialyte instead. You can generally find it in the infant section of most grocery stores. If she will not drink it, you can use a clean eye dropper or a syringe without the needle (of course) to force fluids into her mouth. If you put the tip of the dropper in the space between her back teeth and front teeth, you can squirt some in. Then you can force the tip between her front teeth to make her swallow.

Has she been producing any feces at all? If she has been producing more normal feces, it sounds like she is getting better. If she is producing no feces, she would be getting worse.
