Question
Hi, i have recently just had a white fur, red eyed rabbit. I  am just wondering if i need to do anything to her ears if she is in the sun, as she has almost no hair and they are pink and i can see the veins running though them. do i need some sort of rabbit suncream? or will she be fine as she is?

Answer
In all reality, she shouldn't be forced to be in the sun for more than about 5-10 minutes at time.  She should always have shade available to her more because her eyes are going to be more light senstative than a colored rabbit.

Now if your talking about you plan on taking her outside on walks or letting her run the yard for a bit, then you can buy the baby sun block that is at least spf 35 to put on her ears.

If she is going to be living outside, then you need to make sure that you are providing her with shade at all times, either natural or man-made (ex, putting up a tarp or something similar to keep the sun off of the cage)  Sunburns are not the worst fear here, heat stroke, and heat exhaustion are very serious in a rabbit and can cause death.

Good Luck
