hurt paw

hello. my rabbit jumoed off the couch and stopped quickly.. i think she hurt her paw because ive been testing it and she has been hoppign and using the paw but whenever she otstops she lifts up her paw and starts licking it. i really wanna know why she is doing it and what is wrong. how do i help her (at home help not go to vet) thank you soo much!!

Dear Krystal,

You can't really help her without knowing the extent of the injury, and for that you must take her to a good rabbit vet:

If there are broken bones, they must be stabilized or they will not heal, and things could get worse.  She at least needs pain medication (e.g., metacam) so she isn't so uncomfortable and constantly licking her poor little paw.  :(

I hope you can get her to a good vet ASAP for your own peace of mind and her quick recovery.
