Questionif my dwarf rabbit eats straw bedding will it cause a blockage to where it will plug her up so she cant poop, also i need a recommendation for bedding , i have tried numerous types of bedding in the cage she attempts to eat every type, i heard u can use non clay based cat litter, ive heard to stay away from recycled paper litter cedar shavings wood shavings and corn cob litter what do u suggest using so that if she eats it it wont kill her or make her real sick any brand types or manufacturers that you can recommend, do u have a contact number with area code and hours you can be reached im am located in southern california
AnswerDear Dave,
Straw is safe to eat, as long as it's clean, dry and fresh.
For bedding, we use 100% cotton mats, and for litterbox fill we use pelleted sawdust (great for absorbing odors) covered with a thin layer of soft hay or straw.
