Questioni have a mini lop male rabbit in a fairly large cage in the house, im worried that he is lonely and needs a companion. will he fight with other male rabbits as i dont want to get a female cause i dont want them to breed. Please help!
AnswerDear Tara,
Rabbits do thrive with the companionship of others. But until your bunny is neutered, it could be disastrous to introduce a new bunny. Please read:
www.rabbit.org/health/spay.html
and find a good rabbit vet here:
www.rabbit.org/vets
Once your boy is neutered and recovered, you might be able to find a spayed female from a local rescue (if such things exist for rabbits in Australia, where I know they are considered diabolical pests...) and have a "blind date." Rabbits are very picky about their companions, and will fight ferociously if not introduced and bonded very patiently and carefully. You can find tips for this here:

Great articles on how to know if you should get another bunny, and how to do it successfully.
Hope this helps!
