QuestionI have a basket of flowers in the front of the house surrounded by rocks. A rabbit dug a hole and made a nest in the basket. Alot of dirt was gone and none was on the rocks or pushed around the basket. And on the lawn you would never know a deep rabit hole was there until you step into them. I wondered where they go with the dirt?
AnswerHi Brian,
Since I am not a rabbit I can not tell you where they take the dirt. When they dig they normally leave a small pile of dirt at the base of the hole just as if we were digging a hole with a small shovel.
I am afraid to say that unless you contact Dr. Doolittle you may never know where the dirt went.
I am sorry I couldn't answer your question but it is certainly something to think about.
