Question
QUESTION: will a lady nail polish or ganier hair colour is suitable to mark or number the pigs...........

ANSWER: Nail polish might work on hoofs, but not on skin.

The Halloween spray-on hair colors might work, but the stuff used for womens hair won't. Pig bristles are different from human hair. The color won't penetrate into a bristle. They take from several minutes to an hour to set the color, and can cause allergic reactions.

QUESTION: so what is the best domestic way to mark them

Answer
I don't understand what you mean by "best domestic way".

The best way to mark a piglet for identification is to use one of the special crayons or paint sticks made for this purpose. They are available from VallyVet.com and Jefferslivestock.com or your veterinarian may have one you can borrow.

If you'd like to experiment with something else, you might try womens make up. Waterproof or long wearing lip or eye crayons would probably work best. The clerk at your local cosmetics counter knows what is available and can suggest specific products.
