Feeding my Mini PB.Am I over doing it?

Question
Hello,
I have a roughly 7 week old Teacup or Mini PBP. When I got her she didnt eat for two days. I tried the rice formula the Breeder suggested and she just nosed the bowl around but didnt eat. Desperate, I tried her with mushed pellets. I mix those with the rice cereal and feed her half a yogurt container 3 times daily. Sometimes I add the rice formula and sometimes I dont. She has a ball that I put the pellets in to (only half a yogurt container full) and she noses it around for the treats. I am worried I might be over feeding her but she always eats like she is starved. I have been looking online for days now But I cant seem to find anything that might help.  Thank you so much!

Answer
According to the Veterinary Care of Pot-Bellied Pigs by Lorrie Boldrick DVM, the rule of thumb for feeding piglets is 1/2 cup of mini-pig food per 15 lbs of piglet, plus some fresh veggies and training treats. It's best to divide this into two, three or even four meals. Piglets under 10 lb may not be able to eat the full 1/2 cup, but should be allowed to eat their fill. Some people prefer to free feed piglets up to age 12 weeks.

Piglets should gain about 1 lb per week for the first few months. Ribs, hipbones and backbones should not be visible. Piglets may have a big, firm tummy right after eating a large meal, but it should be gone by the next meal time.
