Do male and female rats get along?

I have 2 female rats and recently got 2 male rats. I am getting the male rats neutered, but I am not sure if females and males can live in the same cage get along... does anyone know?

Yes, all rats get along with each other with proper introduction.  Once the time passes that the male rats are sterile, usually 3 full weeks, introduce the males to the females carefully on neutral grounds and if anything the girls will be the ones to be a bit more "stand offish" than the males!!  Any aggression that the males may have had, which usually is not common, will be gone with the neutering.
