Selamectin

Question
Dear Sondra,
I have two female ratties in quaranteen that have mites , lice , eggs ??? I saw not alot , but spotted here and there , a few tiny specks ? They were faintly carmel / reddish . Because it was too small to see visibly , I scraped a couple off with my nail . And pressing it against my other nail I could sense a small " pop " ! I got some Selamectin/Revolution (0.25ml). My question is without doing "the math" ( I have a dyslexia that makes this impossible..)can I simply apply one teeny drop to them each ? One is a healthy adult , one is a youngster (maybe 4 weeks old?). I have a insulin (needleless) syringe . It's small , says 3/10cc and "units" on bottom and starts with a long line , four short lines , and then a long line with a 5 next to it (...continues 10-30 that way ). Please forgive my math limitations . I hope I've conveyed this well enough for you to direct me well enough to apply this topical med.

Kindest Regards , Alicia A. Kenny

Answer
No, you dont want to just give them a drop. It would be wasting it if there was not enough and can hurt them if its too much.

can you take a picture of the syringe so I can see it and this way I can tell  you exactly where to draw the medication so you are accurate!
