Question
How can you tell if my sun-conure is a boy or a girl because my mother says that if it is a boy it will kiss a girl. It is only five months old and loves to be called BABY! out-loud. i want to be right about it being a boy.

Answer
There is no way to tell sun conures apart (there are no physical or behavioral differences between males and females).

Unless a female lays an eggs, or you get your bird DNA sexed. It is a myth that birds bond to humans who are of the opposite sex. All of the baby sun conures I've cared for will be affectionate and kiss men or women. (In fact- a well socialized bird should NOT show a preference for one sex over another).
