companion for male mouse?

Should I buy another mouse to keep my mouse Moo company?
If so, what sex should I get? Moo is a boy.

Dear Rose,

Boys don't get along.  They have to live alone.  If you got a girl they would have hundreds of babies!  That's not something you want to do without a lot of thought and planning.

Moo is OK by himself if you give him a good solid hour of love a day.  If you'd like a second mouse in any case, you can get another mouse to live in a cage next door.  They will communicate and be friends.  They squeak in really high pitched squeaks to each other all the time.
