Kissie noises

Question
I've had my little mousie (Tiggy) for about 2 months now, shes very friendly and looks healthy, coat shiny, eyes big and bright, always active, loves a good cuddle.
I've started to make little clicking noises at her and little kissie noises and she makes them back, but seems like shes making them a good majority of the time now, mainly at night.
They are more squeeks rather than sneezing or coughing.
I was wondering do they make these little noises when looking for a mate? Could I have tricked her into thinking a mate was close by? and also she sounds like a little piggy when I put her close to my ear, like little snorting noises? Its cute, but I'm worried there something more serious!?
Thanx, kind regards, Tezzie :)

Answer
Snorting sounds are usually the sign of a respiratory infection or allergy to the shavings. You may also see he nose is slightly red sometimes.
I suggest you take her to the vet to see if she needs Baytril and bed her on Carefresh bedding rather than shavings to eliminate any irritation which the shavings may be causing

Mice do respond to their owners sometimes as do rats and hamsters with squeaks if they become trusting of the. I had a dwarf hamster who use to come running when i called her and use to crawl up my arm and onto my shoulder when she saw our dog approaching
