QuestionHi. I have 2 hermit crabs. They are both females. I have had them for about 6 weeks. One is smaller then the other. I don't know if my small one is molting or dead. She has lost all of her legs and her little pincher. She started loosing her legs 2 days ago. Now she is just laying on her side. It looks like she is going to fall out of her shell kind of. I don't know what is wrong!
AnswerUsually with a molt, the legs do not fall off but the entire exo comes off in one piece, are the legs hollow? If they are hollow it is a molt. If the legs have come off then there is something very wrong with your crab. What is your humidity and temperature? That is usually the biggest culprit in crab stress.
