Question
i have had him for 4 days and he will not eat food or his kibble. he was most in to some cocoanut in corn syrup

Answer
Dear Ginger,
thank you for your question.
The crab is probably destressing right now. It was caught and shipped before he came to you, most of the time in probably less than ideal conditions and it needs to get used to its new home now. Leave the crab alone as much as possible, keep humidity and temperature right and offer a variety of different foods, for example apple, carrot, brine shrimp, krill, honey, sliversides, nuts or pineapple. www.epicureanhermit.com has a good list of safe and unsafe foods.
If the crab buries itself, don't go looking for it. It may molt now and disturbing it then can be harmful. www.thecrabbagepatch.com has a lot more good info on general crab care.
I hope I was of some help to you
Jennifer
