help..please

Answer
Hi Rita,

Get the biggest cage that you can afford and have space for! Guinea pigs are very sociable, active creatures and they love to run around and play - as such, you should get two guinea pigs, not just one. I have a Cassita Ferplast 120 for my two boars, and it's brilliant - it's an indoor rabbit cage. These indoor cages can be expensive though, so you may prefer to get a traditional hutch (which you can still keep indoors) or to make your own using the "c&c method" - there are lots of websites about c&c cages.

Before you get your pets, I'd recommend you read The Really Useful Guinea Pig Guide by Myra Mahoney - it's great for people who are thinking about getting guinea pigs, and will answer most of your questions.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you need anything else.

Jenny.
