Does my hamster have a tumor?

hello,
i have a hamster named macy; and I've
had her for about a year now.
I was playing with her a couple days ago
and i noticed that on her skin there's this
brown, kind of circle shaped -nickel sized
thing. it looks like it's raised a little bit..
but not really.

I've never noticed it before.. but maybe i just missed it.
I was thinking maybe its just part of the coloring of her skin
because she has spots.

She seems really healthy and has been eating normal
and stuff.. so i dont know.
Please help me.

Whereabouts is this brown dot?  Is it on her hip?  If so, have a look at her other hip and you should find another one.  Hamsters have scent glads on their hips and these can be slightly raised brown dots.  Sometimes you don't see them in a hamster, other times they are very obvious and the fur can be thin there.  If it is her scent gland, then there is nothing to worry about.  

Please let me know if it isn't this and perhaps send a photo.
