Can my ferret get my 5 month baby sick

I just got a ferret, but i have a 5 month old baby. i don't let if out when she awake or if she touches it i clean her hands right after but she's really never around him, and i try to keep it away from her things. I want to know if there's anyway she can catch anything from it,or if it can make her sick or pass any diseases to her.

Ferrets can not give any cold or sickness to a human, only the other way around. If you have a cold the ferret will probably catch the cold; if the ferret has a cold you will not transmit it. It's just like a dog or cat; I don't know of anyone who's worried their dog or cat will give their baby a disease or anything. I'd be more worried about the baby accidentally hurting the ferret; always pay close supervision when the baby and ferret interact.
