Flea problem with daughters ferret?

21 10:44:24

Question
My daughter has a ferret that she got from someone else and was told it had the necessary shots etc. I am going to guess the ferret is about 1 year old. he has fleas- my daughter has seen them on him- gave him a bath to try and get rid of some of them. What should I recommend her to do for this problem? Thank you for your help.

Answer
I recommend either Advantage kitten, Revolution for kittens, or Frontline for kittens (be wary of Frontline some ferrets have an adverse reaction)

I personally use Revolutions it not only protects against fleas but Revolution will also kill ticks, ear mites, prevent heartworms, and deworms each month.

You will need to go to a vet for any of these to get a proper dosage based on the ferrets weight. I am not sure about other vets but my vet will sell a single vial so it doesn't cost as much as a whole box. It would be worth a shot asking if the vet will sell a single vial.
