Introducing a ferret to my group of 5

Question
I have been given a small gill just a year old or just over, my pack of 5 others, who have all been attended to not to come into season by implants, this new one has had a jab to take her out of her season, but things havent improved, I have her in a seperate cage, as I cant bear to watch and hear the aggression that goes on, my son had her first and she came to me with very bad scabs on her neck which have all healed now, he just put her in and hoped for the best which never happened, I cannot do that, so what else can I do, I purchased some Ferretonic and they said it can be helpful to introduce new ferrets in but didnt say what to do with it to aid this proceedure, could you give me some ideas of what to do, I have managed to do this before but had to wait till the new ferrets were about 6 months old but this new one is so little and is well over that age, Im just lost as to how to get her with the pack, please can you help. Thank  you so much Lordbless

Answer
Lots of noise and scabs around the neck are quite common.  You can't separate them and put them back together as that increases the aggression.  Make sure the girl has places to hide from the others (like a small rubbermaid tub with one opening).  I know it can be hard to listen to the noise, but in the long run it makes the transition go smoother.  This is assuming none of the aggression is related to adrenal disease or a hob in season (if the implants are late etc).
