1 year old Bichon wont stop peeing!

Question
My 13 month old Bichon Frise,Mimi, won't stop peeing in her kennel or in her exercise pen in the basement. I got her last June when she was about 2 months and she is the sweetest dog EVER! I love her to death. My only problem with her is that she pees ALL THE TIME!! My husband and I started taking her outside more often now for walks and just to run around maybe a couple times a day for about 15 to 30 minutes every time. And she'll potty and poop out there, but when we bring her inside she'll potty AGAIN not long after. It's so frustrating because I'm 8 months pregnant and I'm tired of it and I don't want to deal with it anymore. The smell makes me so SICK! We have to constantly bath her and clean her kennel. we started feeding her food and water only once a day thinking that it would stop her peeing so much. Nothing has changed. I'm at the point where I want to give her away because of it and it makes me really upset to think about that. But I know it has to be done. Your my last hope. PLEASE HELP!!

Answer
Have you had a vet check her out to rule out any potential health problems that could be causing the incessant peeing? She could have an infection or crystals/stones that are causing it. That would be the first thing I would recommend. When you take her out to potty, keep her on leash. Do not just let her run around and do whatever she wants. When you bring her back in, let her drag the leash and use baby gates to keep her confined to the room you're in, or keep her attached to you so that as soon as she starts showing signs of needing to go, you can get her outside immediately.
