Hi i have a gsd when ever i pick the dog lead up to take him out he starts making such a noise and dosent shut up and till he gets going on his walk is there any thing i can do to stop this.thank you Tracy

Tracy, you need to desensitize him to the leash. Practice putting it on him and taking it off, and putting it on him and letting him just drag it around, without actually taking him for a walk. When you DO want to take him for a walk, require that he sit before you put the leash on, and at least the first half of the leash should be structured, meaning he doesn't get to run all over and do what he wants to do; he should heel next to you, not pulling on the leash.

What kind of noise is he making? You have to remember that German shepherds can be very vocal dogs.
