2 boxer pups and an electric fence

Do you know how old boxer puppies should be before they are trained on an electric fence?

Hello Susan,

I would wait until they are at least 6 months of age.  That is the recommendation of electric fence manufacturers.  Even when they are trained on the fence, please be careful with it as dogs do bolt outside of it if they see something interesting enough and then are afraid to come back.  Also, the electric fence does not keep other dogs or animals out like a typical fence would.   I always recommend supervision when outside as a precaution.
