Hi Henry,

Answer
Puppies chew. The basic reasons are:  teething, stess, boredom, chewing is part of eating and moving from liquid to solid food.

First, keep stuff out of reach to the puppy.
Second, provide it with chew toys, rawhide bones, other toys that it can chew.
Third, play more with the puppy. Exercise and smart games improve the puppy brain power and make them tired enough to sleep vs chew.
Fourth, you can put lemon juice, hot sauce vinegar and other bitter liquids on items so the puppy gets a bad taste when it goes after something it shouldn't.
Fifth, make sure it doesn't have a dental or dietary problem that would cause it to seek sources of food because it is not getting the right diet to supply its needs.
