old dog, behavior changing

My 13 year old American bull dog has just started sleeping in my cats litter box. We have had the cats almost 2 years and this has never happened before. Why is he doing this now???

I am not certain why this is starting now. My first thought is that the cat litter provides some type of support to your dog's body that makes him feel more comfortable.

Have you had a senior dog health check up with your DVM to make certain your dog is doing well health-wise? There may be some other changes that are affecting how he behaves that the DVM can evaluate.
