Question
My mini Aussie Shepard is 21 weeks old.  I got her when she was 10 weeks old.  I live in an apartment complex, and take her to work with me.  She has been puppy pad trained in both locations. She does her pee on the pads both at home and at work,
however she is better at poo at home than at work.  She clearly will not pee and poo on the same pad or in the same location.
Now that she has all her shots, I am wanting to do her business outside. i take her to the park to sniff, and she will wait until she gets home to do her business.
Today I took her on a long walk in the mountains, she held her business for 6 hours until we got home. what can I do to transition her to the outside?

Answer
To be honest, I would have started her outside in the first place, albeit in an area free from the urine or feces of other dogs.  Aussies are really good at house training, but they can also be so good that they are difficult to convince that another place is ok to use, too.  You can try moving the pads outdoors, and letting her use them outside.  Just cut the pads down in size, making the pad smaller and smaller until she is eliminating on the ground.  Be sure you use the same words you normally use to tell her to "go pee", and praise her lavishly with treats, too, if you can, when she goes outdoors.
