New lab

We want a lab puppy, but have been offered a 1 year old lab. Can we retrain it to live with us inside. It was outside, but we want him to be an inside dog. He is probably house trained. Can we change his name or should we keep it the same?

Answer
Yes you can teach the new dog how to live indoors. Dogs acclimate quickly to name changes so that should be simple enough to alter if you choose to change the name.
