Question
She is a regular sized collie (not border)...I just got her...she has never been on a leash, she is 1 year old.  I tried to take her on a walk...I ended up pulling the leash..she fought me every step of the way.  She is very sweet and I love her.  What should I do..I really want to walk with her.  Don't all dogs like to walk?

Answer
No, dogs have to be trained to walk on a leash if they've never been exposed to one before.  Go slowly.  The first thing you want to do is find a reward that the dog really likes - maybe something she never gets at any other time.  I often use the Swedish meatballs from the frozen food section at the market;-)  Scroll down on this page for an article on leash training the adult dog: http://www.flvetbehavior.com/Web/Dog_Training_Articles.html
Once you get her used to wearing the collar and leash, you may want to teach her how to walk without pulling you - clicker training is great for that, because there's no force involved, and the dog doesn't get a chance to start pulling you - here's a great tutorial: http://vimeo.com/13110409.  There are two more videos in that series that will get you walking with your dog in no time, if you follow them carefully.  Good luck!
