Puppys eyes

Question
I just had a baschound given to me he is about six months old.He has this
Infected tear duck in his left eye.The lady that gave him to me said that
he was on meds for this but it doesn't seam to be getting better my vet
said to use eye drops .but my puppy crys when i do what should i do .

Sometimes you just have to do what seems like abuse to them.  Speak softly to him, tell him he is a good dog.  Maybe hold him in your lap.  When you are done, take him for a walk.  I try to do that after cutting toe nails, and other procedure you have to do and the dogs see as abuse.  

My Pepper came to me at 16 weeks with bout ear and eye infections.  It was awful the first 10 days, I was abusing her several times every day.
