Eye Bump

Hi Becky,

I have noticed a bump/growth on the white of my dogs eye. It is to the outside of the eye, not the inside (like cherry eye).
It is a lump and is reddish in color.  Can you give me any idea as to what this might be?  Thank you.  She does have an appointment with her vet tomorrow morning.

Hi Shannon,

It's really hard to say, since I can't see it.  Could she have been hitten or had something poke her eye?  It may be a type of virus that antibiotics would clear up.  I'm just guessing here, but I'm glad to hear you are going to the vet.  That's exactly what I would have advised.  You don't want to fool around when it come to the eyes.
