hello sorry to bother you but my daschund's nail fell right of, the entire thing, and it has begun to bleed, what can i do to help shes in a lot of pain and why do u think this happened?

I am sorry you didn't get a timely answer.  For you or others in the future, you can slow the bleeding with alum, stick or powder.  You can give aspirin, best buffered aspirin and no other OTC pain rememdy.  The dose if 5 mg per pound of body weight.  A standard 325 mg tablet is Ok for larger breeds.  for a Dachshund or other smaller breeds, you might start with a baby aspirin.
