Question
I have a rescued Australian Blue Healer. We have had him now for a year so he is two years old. He chews on clothing, shoes, oven mitts, towels, we have tried apple spray, cyan pepper nothing seems to stop him. We don't want to get rid of him as he is a part of the family but don't know what to do to make him stop. He has balls, Kong toys, chew bones but he still gets personal family items.
Any suggestions. We heard about the perfectdog training program but don't have that kind of money to spend.
Thanks for taking your time.

Answer
Hello, Deb. My question to you is this: When does he chew on the inappropriate things? Is it when you're at home, or when you're away? How much exercise does he receive each day? I don't know anything about 'The Perfect Dog Training Program,' but surely you can find an affordable trainer in your area. Around here, classes start at around $50 for 6 weeks.
