Training my dog to go to the bathroom in one spot.

I have a female german shepard who I just adore, but I have only one problem.  Wen she urinates in the backyard on the grass, the grass turns yellow and dies because of the acidity in the urine.  I asked the same question to a lawn specialist on allexperts.com and he told me there were two remedies:  Thoroughly soaked where she goes to the bathroom after everytime she goes or to train her to go in one spot.  The first one seems impossible to do, so I thought I'd try the second.
I was just hoping to get some advice on how to go about training her to go to the bathroom in one area.  She has a dog run which is 12 x 15 but when she is outside, she is allowed to run all around the yard.  When I put her in the dog run, she barks continuosly until I let her out.  I'd appreciate any advice you could pass on.

THIS TAKES THE ACID OUT OF THE URINE THAT DISCOLORS THE LAWN.  IT WORKS I KNOW MANY THAT USE IT.
GOOD LUCK AND YOUR SO RIGHT RINSING DOES NOT DO IT, U NEED THE ACID TAKEN OUT OF THE URINE.
