Hi Wayne,  Normally it doesn't take very long between pups, but if it is the first litter it can be longer than normal because it is all new to them.  If she is straining for a very long time and nothing is coming out, then you need to get her to a vet.  If she is just taking rest breaks, then sometimes there can be an hour inbetween pups.  Hope this helps,
