Question
How do you teach a cocker to shake, fetch, lay, rollover when all she cares about is food! She doesn't pay attention either! She is two years old is that too old to teach her some tricks? Or would coming from a breeder have something to do with it?

Answer
No one person is familiar with all parts of dog training.  Not only am I not able to help you, I can't even think of a good place to send you.  Maybe somebody on one of the dog forums I am active on can help.  Try http://www.talkpets.com/forums/ and http://www.k9forums.com/forums/  Plenty of real dog lovers at either.

Does she know basic obedience and that you are top dog?  The dogs see all the
people and dogs in the household as a pack with each having their own rank in
the pack and a top dog.  Life is much easier if the 2 legged pack members
outrank the 4 legged ones.  You can learn to play the role of top dog by
reading some books or going to a good obedience class. A good obedience class
or book is about you being top dog, not about rewarding standard commands with
a treat. Start at http://www.dogsbestfriend.com/  Once she is well grounded in basic obedience, then you can advance to the tricks you want.
