Question
I really appreciated the list of 'good' foods for cockers.  I just adopted a wonderful 9-month old female and I want to start out right with her diet and wonder about the foods I can get at the vets...Hills, etc. - are they recommended cockers?

Answer
Beth, Hill's is the worst food on the planet.  So..no..please don't feed Science Diet.

If you read the list you know I highly recommend Canidae for cockers..canned, not kibble.  Cockers do not do well on kibble because of the very heavy carb load and with their propensity for skin issues that's a bad idea.

Whatever you're feeding now...switch over slowly by adding a bit more of the new food every day.  If you want other suggestions on food, do write again.
