Question
I have a 18 months old cocker. She is very active and Playful.  She is usally very excited about food and likes to eat anything from raw carrot to chicken.  For the last 10 days, she shows interestin eating when called but actually doesnot consume food.  I have noticed that if it feels like, she eats.  The vet said that there is some hormonal imbalance which has caused this.  I almost force feed her.  She consumes water a plenty and is active as usual.  However, a dog that was eating so well if suddenly stops eating, it bothers us.  I am getting her blood checked today and will also get her liver function test done.  She is vaccinated and dewormed and all her shots and immunization is up-to-date.  Please help.

Answer
What tests did the vet do to come up with "hormonal imbalance"?

first of all - don't force feed.  And how much water is she drinking?
Is it excessive?  Is she losing weight?

But primarily I want to know exactly what you're feeding?  And if it's kibble, try switching to canned (just a little to see her reaction).

Make sure she's fasted before a blood test..but before I spent money on any testing (since she's active & playful) I'd try a food change.
She may simply be telling you she doesn't like what you're giving her.
