Question
Hi- I have a couple of questions.  I have been having second thoughts about spaying my Chi, 20 mths, i've heard terrible things that can happen with the anesthesia etc.  What are the risks if choose NOT to spay her? My Chi was dropped off (abandoned) at 6 weeks old at my husbands work.  I bottle fed her and nurtured her and I love her more than I can say.  Because of food recalls and her being picky, she eats regular people food.  She will not touch any dry food (except the cats dry food).  She eats hamburger and rice, steak, chicken, veggies (at times). I'm just getting very worried that she is unhealthy or not getting enough vitamins.  Do you have any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Debbie- I understand your concern.  When any pet goes under anesthesia there is a risk.  You can as your vet to do some liver function testing prior to the spay.  This will let you know if your little Chi can metabolize the anesthesia.

You don't have to spay her.  Sometimes they can have troubles with the uterus, as they age. ( but, not always....)

As far as foods, home cooking is fine as long as you add some supplements to her diet.
I suggest you visit my friends at the Hawaii Pet chef - she has some great ideas in home cooking.

Also, your chi needs some NuVET Plus supplements... this is the powder you can mix 1x per day, into her food.

Call Joan at 1-800-474-7044  Ext 265 ( if Joan is not there, then please talk to any of the gals in customer service)

Tell them Marie sent you - with order code 81098/ So you can get the 15% off Discount on auto ship....keep the order code-
Marie Peppers referred you to this manufacturer...They don't sell to the public without a referral from a VET or Breeder..

The powder form of NuVET Plus will cost you only about.30 cents per day.  She only needs 1/2 a dosage because of her size.

NuVET is natural and safe for your baby...

Let me know if you need any more help??
