Stray Chi

Question
Someone contacted me because they know how much I love my Chi and care for him. Her neighbor put a chi in the trash upon moving out to die. Apparently the dog has been starved first for a week and is very skinny. She rescued it but wants me to keep it. She has no history for the dog. I will take the dog in and get him fixed and shots but in the meantime should I worry about bringing him around my chi? I love mine way too much to take any chances.

Wow - HOW awful of that person to put the little Chi in the TRASH!!!
Thanks to your and your friend, he will have another chance.
What is his condition now?  Any sores or loss of hair????  Look for signs of mange which is contagious.
YOU may want to get him to the ver for a look over.  Also, if he is very old, don't get him neutered, too dangerous for him.
