Question
I have a 3 mo old little girl who weighs .6  and the vet said will probably not make 1# grown.  I am reading the heart worm info on line for overdosed dogs that can die from it, how can a dog this size take as much as a 25lb dog, it makes no logical sense.

I have the vet give her 1/2 shots and they made her so sick it was awful and the pain was really bad they had her on med for pain for 2 days / the smallest needle was as big as her leg from knee down

Help   what do I do

Whay isnt there meds for tiny tiny dogs by wgt

I can not see the same dose for under one lb is also for a 25 lb dog

Answer
Hi Margaret, I would hold off on her shots and potty train her for wee wee pads.  Don't let her feet touch the ground!  When you take her out place her in a cute doggy purse.  I would wait until she is a least a pound before any more shots.  Also, yes, she can have 1/4 the amount of serum!  MOST folks have no idea that a 10 lb dog and a 100 lb dog get the SAME dosage!!!  AWFUL , right?
As for heartworm, you can do a very small dosage, down the road.
Just keep her inside now, if possible.

To help build her immune system please order some NuVET Plus powder - give her just 1/4 of the daily regular dosage per day - MIX into some Wet food... ( innova puppy or wellness puppy canned food)

NuVET will help protect her from all the bacterias, parasites and others .... that are out in the world.

Call them and order the NuVET Plus powder - Just a 30 count is 19.99 and this will last you 3-4 months!
