10 week old boxer - liver problem?

Question
Our daughter and son-in-law and grandkids just purchased a brindle boxer puppy.  They've had it for 2 weeks and suddenly yesterday afternoon it became very lethargic, wouldn't eat, no tail wagging.  Earlier in the afternoon it had been very energetic and playful.  They took dog to vet and then to veterinary specialist and no conclusive cause has been found (as of yet). It appears (from the web) boxers can develop a liver problem.  Do you have any information we might pass along to them to help i this situation?   Thank you.

Answer
I don't really know of any liver problems in Boxers that would cause that sudden of a change; they aren't especially common in the breed in any case.  This could be any number of things, from kennel cough to parvo to a toxic plant or substance to a growth disorder (HOC or OCD) to an injury - without knowing what the vets did and what the results were, it's really hard to give any meaningful guess as to what might be going on.  I'm sorry I can't be more help, but I do hope that the vets are able to give them some answers.  If you get any more specific information and have further questions about it, please feel free to get in touch again.

Best of luck to them!!
