Question
Hi, we bought a pure bread female boxer with papers. we were told she has never had pups. we want to breed her but when we noticed she was in her cycle (bleeding) by the time we found the right male she was done her cycle and about a week later she started to bleed again but not in heat as she wanted nothing to do with the male dog. its been 3 weeks now and everytime she goes out side for a pee she always bleeds about the same amount of pee. she is four yrs old and a well behaved dog, our vet does not know what is wrong with her. we live in the north where last night the temp was -45 outside so she has started to pee alot in the house as its too cold outside for her.. what if anything is wrong with her ????

Answer
First, you need to learn about their cycle..........

Once you've learned about the cycle and stages you will better to breed her....

It's a matter of understanding the cycle and the stage she will accept  male...

Also, you must learn about whelping (giving birth) and taking care of her during her 58-63 day pregnancy and during nursing puppies as well as newborn care.

If you do not know this, you can put her life at risk and all her puppies as well.........

If your vet does not know why she is bleeding during peeing, then get a new vet... otherwise, she might not be finished with her heat cycle which can be up to 30 days long and every 5-6 months.

As far as being so cold outside, you might consider buying a grassy pee pad for indoor usage during cold weather:
